TREKATHON ONE-DAY EVENTS
Discover Adventure Trekathons are one-day events over a marathon distance of approx 26 miles, presenting a tough physical challenge and an ideal way to raise money for your favourite charity.
Like our Open Challenges, you can take part for your own personal challenge or use it as a way to raise money for any charity of your choice.
At only one day long, a Trekathon is an ideal option if you aren’t able to take part in our longer events to raise money, or if you want to train or gain confidence for longer challenge events. They also make great trip reunions or team-building events!
Whether you fancy dramatic coastal scenery or quintessential English countryside, flatter terrain or rolling hills, there’s plenty of choice. Interesting monuments along the way include Hadrian’s Wall, Stonehenge, Glastonbury and Salisbury Cathedral.
Trekathons are not competitive – like all our trips, you take part at your own pace. Discover Adventure’s normal high standards of support before and on the event will give you every chance of completing the distance and thoroughly enjoying the day! Transfers from the parking facilities at the Finish to your Trekathon Start Point mean that your car is conveniently waiting for you whatever time you finish.

A one-off payment of £49 (£55 in 2013) guarantees your place; we recommend a fundraising target of £100 but many of our Trekathon participants go on to raise much more.
Trekathons are walked and can be done on your own or with friends, family or colleagues. Take part in fancy dress if you want to make your challenge unique! Please note they are not professionally-timed marathon events.
